ran is even better directed then akira's other masterpiece seven samurai's
i think the strongest thing about the movie is that,the amazing acting and the complex narrative and characters.
i like how lord hidetora is not fully the good guy,i mean we litteraly got told he let someone get his eyes get gouged out.
tbh this movie is litteraly just him getting mentally tortured for the most part.
lady keade is not some one dimensional woman,she has understandable motivations.
i think the script and line delivery from every actor makes the film on a whole nother levelis it my favorite kurosawa film?
no high and low is still better but that doesn't mean this movie is that much weaker
