ITS NO MARS ATTACKS, THATS FOR SURE.
A rare theatrical WHIFF. I genuinely don't understand main aspects of this plot, and not in a "oh wow this is so complex and confusing" way. It's in a "am I crazy or are there an insane amount of plot holes" way.
PS: Something about Emily Blunt's American accent bothered me greatly.
PPS: The news anchor at the end was the best part of the movie

Moneyball has more math than sports, which I like, because I'm a nerd.
Honey I Shrunk the Kids and Beetlejuice were my favorite special effects ever as a kid, and honestly I'm still impressed today (except some of the ant stuff, but it's still fun).
This is actually my third favorite of the franchise. It's the *best* one, but I was the perfect age when the second came out, and my son was very into the third.
Man. I love Amanda Seyfried but this did not do it for me. I didn't like her fiancee or her new love interest at ALL. I wish she had no love interests, and it was just about her and the letters and the lady.

I loved this. Everything and everyone just looks and feels so real and believable and genuine. It made me want a donut so badly, and then my husband came home from work with two donuts! A complete coincidence!
I'd even say this is now my favorite movie with an MTV Vj in a lead role.
Alan's dad and the hunter being the same actor?! Really makes ya think!
Also when the boy runs to get the axe from the shed, and he picks it up and starts using it to break INTO the shed, and then he looks into the camera?! Cinema!!!
I love how this looks. The 70s aesthetic is executed so perfectly, and I loved the little snippets meant to look like real news footage. Also it's kind of exciting when Bill Skarsgärd just has his normal face, isn't it? He's not a scary clown or anything. Just a cutie with a mustache trying to take down the man!
Honestly I might like this even more now than I did when it came out.
