First time watch, and I was truly shocked that Marlon Brando's character was not named Don Corleone. I've thought his first name was Don this whole time.
I always thought The Godfather would be super boring, even though everyone loves it, because it's three hours long and just has the aura of something that would make me fall asleep. To my surprise and delight, I was awake the whole time, and I liked it.
I didn't LOVE it, but I'm happy that the rest of you do. I'm not going to be peer pressured.

This was definitely not a horror film, but it was entertaining. Sure, a shark attacks and eats a few people, but the main point of the film was obtaining some items from a car that was below water. To be honest, it may have even been a good film without the shark.
Am I betraying my generation and 30 years of crushing on Devon Sawa if I say this is the best Final Destination movie? I can't decide. The deaths are just SO good.
It took over ten minutes to get to the initial premonition, which for some reason felt like a super long to me. Then it took over a half hour for death to come knocking, which is nuts compared to the rest of the franchise. I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish with that time, but I didn't end up more invested in the characters.
Once the deaths started, I was back on board for the most part. They were pretty solid. The real clincer was the little twist ending though, which I loved.
Five stars if it was about beach volleyball.
First time watch; I'm admittedly a few decades late to the party. I did see Top Gun Maverick though. It just never hit my watchlist because no one was ever like "Hey Stormy, I think you'd be super into Top Gun!" and my interest in planes is pretty much limited to The Rehearsal season 2 and that scene in Bridesmaids.
Overall I enjoyed Top Gun more than I expected. The ratio of plane to not-plane worked well for me. I couldn't get invested in the romantic part though. It was just less interesting to me than the other relationships. I don't love saying it, but maybe this should have just been one about the bros.
Rogue One was already the best Star Wars movie, and two seasons of Andor just widened the margin.

I've been sleeping on Final Destination 3. The deaths are really good. The first still is my top pick because it's the OG and has the best cast, but this one is shockingly comparable.
The only thing I didn't like about this is that my husband didn't get my Luck of the Irish joke. Guess someone needs to brush up on their made for TV Disney movies.
There is actually some decent acting and stuff in this, but it is about a giant shark that can walk on land.

First of all, I hate that this isn't titled Final Destination 4.
Second, what a drop from FD3. The initial race track scene is fine, and some of the deaths were cool, but overall the writing and execution did not work for me.
When I saw this in the theater in 2003, my friend's dad picked us up afterwards, and that AC/DC song played during the drive home, and we LOST OUR MINDS.
The log truck scene is one of the most iconic in my generation's film history. Super strong beginning and ending, and the deaths are pretty cool. I am just not sure how the first one has such a slam dunk teenage movie cast, and this one is basically people I don't know.
Obviously as a life long Devon Sawa fan and a millennial, Final Destination is iconic. That's not what I'd like to discuss today. It came out the year after Varsity Blues, so they were clearly like "YES, we want Ali Larter, the whipped cream bikini girl, BUT we want her to be an outcast artist/welder, so she has to have long brown hair and bangs until she has friends at the end." Might as well have just given her glasses, a ponytail, and paint on her overalls.
