Were they trying to rival Gail's Scream 3 haircut with Amanda's bizarre pixie cut in this?

Saw X is so much easier to follow since it does not weave itself through the timelines of all the other movies. I think it is inflating my feelings on it, because it was a relief to not have to Google the timeline during the movie.

Other than that, the plot of this one is probably the most solid in the franchise. Plot is sort of an afterthought in the others. I didn't watch any of the gross stuff.

Message From Space has some problems, the least of which is that it came out post Star Wars, but it is a super fun film!
Love the model work too. Doesn’t have the polish of the aforementioned space opera, but they look fantastic in their own way.

Boy, have I watched a lot of Mission Impossible in one week.

MI8 is pretty long, but I felt it more in the first third than the rest. I can't get into The Entity as the villain, and there was a lot of Entity talk, so I spent a considerable amount of time daydreaming.

Much like the last few, I'm here for the women. Hayley Atwell and Pom Klementieff were captivating. I missed Rebecca Ferguson though.

There were a lot of moments designed to channel MI nostalgia, but I don't have any since I just watched them all this week. That will probably be nice for the fans who've been on this journey for decades though.

Edited to add I LOVED MR. MILCHIK'S PARTS.

To start off, I don't own any video game systems let alone never heard of Until Dawn until the first trailer for the film came out, which looked fantastic. However, looks (maybe it's the acting and storyline?) can be deceiving.

What began with a short, yet exciting introduction to the film eventually dissolved into a repetitive mess of sorts. I believe there were a few missing pieces to the plot, such as how did this actual place come to be (not the town imploding junk they fed us), but I pushed those aside because I was too distracted by the acting and dialog between the cast. The characters went straight for each other's throats instead of team-building, therefore allowing themselves to be killed off one by one every evening they were stuck there. I gave up caring for them halfway through, rooting for their eventual demise each time.

What I did enjoy were the creatures and kills, as well as the spectacular set design, which really impressed me. My LG OLED TV's Perfect Black enabled a great watching experience by highlighting the darkness of the film, and while it made everything better, my one-star rating is a reflection of the film as a whole. Unfortunately, the gore and kills couldn't move it to three stars.

I'm so torn on this one. I love the women. Rebecca Ferguson is my favorite character in the franchise, and Hayley Atwell is my favorite in this one. It's also exciting and unusual to see Mantis, but not Mantis, and I love her. I would be super into a spinoff franchise with any one of them. Give me some prequels or something, and let's party.

On the other hand, I just can't get into this AI villain. What the heck. Bring back Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Wow, this movie did me dirty twice. Two separate times I say out loud "OMG ITS _______", and two separate times they are instantly killed. That is not cool. I didn't think it would be like that.

Ghost Protocol feels like a soft reboot, probably just because it looks so much better and less dated than the first three. MI3 still has my favorite cast of the bunch (Philip Seymour Hoffman and Keri Russell, obviously), but this is a more exciting watch. It's also funnier, and I like comedies more than action movies, so that's a win for me.

I saw MI2 when it came out, and I never watched another one again. Now that I just rewatched it, I can see why I made that choice. I would be tempted to make it again, but I told my son I'd watch them all before we see the new one, and I usually keep my word.

Every cool thing that happens also happened in the first movie, and other than that it just doesn't do it for me. Thandie Newton is cute, Anthony Hopkins is there, and I like Tom's hair.
