I love the Hunger Games, and I LOVE Catching Fire.
The first movie establishes our core characters and the concept of the Hunger Games, and Catching Fire takes that foundation and builds a whole world around it. The cast grows to include fan-favorite Finnick and my favorites, Johanna and Beetee. And the ENDING?! Phew, if I hadn't already read the books, I would have been SHOCKED!

Captain America First Avenger hasn't aged as well as Iron Man, mostly because of the CGI when Steve is a skinny little guy. It's still a good watch though, just not super fun.
I was a little confused when this came out because prior to this Chris Evans was playing a lot of roles as a charismatic hot guy, and Steve is a little blah personality-wise, but I suppose it's good to branch out.
I am old enough to remember Milli Vanilli but too young to remember anything beyond the headline. I learned some things but watching this documentary didn't really have much value beyond what you would learn from Googling or reading the Wikipedia.
Is it a painfully glamorized depiction of the old west?
Absolutely, but I love every single frame of this movie!
The cast is incredible and they each have their moments to be spectacular.
I can see the ending being a bit polarizing, but I am so on board with everything that leads up to it that I don't even care. Michael Keaton is just the best.
<I>Scenic Route</i> is held together mainly by two characters, Josh Duhamel's Mitchell and Dan Fogler's Carter. The film gives you both feelings of hope and despair immediately when their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. The tension between the two builds, which can also be said for the film as it’s a long downward spiral until about the very end. Just watch this film and see what happens.

I delayed watching this because the name Parasite made me think it was going to be gross, like about literal leeches.
It's rough when something has been so hyped up before you watch it. I was skeptical it could live up to its reputation. It is really interesting and unpredictable. I think for me it isn't super rewatchable because a lot of the impact was in the surprises.

The Marvels is super fun. Iman Vellani is everything as Kamala Khan, and she should get the same love Tom Holland gets as Spider-Man. She is the perfect person to balance out Captain Marvel's energy, like Kate does with Clint in Hawkeye. Odd Couple team balancing, with Monica covering in the middle ground.
We need some MCU connectivity, and this serves as a sequel to Captain Marvel, Wandavision, and Ms. Marvel. We are merging some storylines and moving forward. This is what we need.
It has a ton of laughs. I love the swapping-places fight scenes, I love flerkens, and I love Kamala's family. Could the villain's backstory have used a bit more depth? Sure, but I'm here for the vibes, and the vibes are excellent.
Also I cried a little behind my 3D glasses when I thought about how much young girls will love this movie. Just a few happy tears. Nothing weird.

Ms. Marvel is one of the only MCU shows that I could rewatch in the background of my day on a loop and not get sick of it. It's just such an easy, fun watch.
Captain Marvel is a solid watch, undeserving of the levels of hate it gets. It doesn't have the charm of most of the other character titles, but it's not really trying to. The origin part of the story is good, but the villain part is pretty weak. I was shocked to see Jude Law and Annette Bening, even though I had seen it before.
The ending of this film is the same as <I><A HREF="https://boxd.it/1UGI">Taking Lives</A></I>.
Even though Charlize Theron is seven years older than Seth Rogen, my brain can't accept that she would have been his babysitter.
The bones are good here. Some of the rom-com stuff works, and some of the raunchier comedy stuff works. Those two parts just don't blend as well as they could have.
