Complaint #1: The film is too dark. It was impossible to see most of the action let alone both the alien(s) and predator(s).
Complaint #2: The acting. The two stoned guys do not deserve SAG access, ever.
Complaint #3: The ending.
Compliment #1: Good on the directors for killing a kid.
Overall, fuck this film.
Don't play Tubi Roulette, kids, or you'll waste over an hour of your life watching shit like this.
Holy fuck, this was bad.
From the word WINCHESTER, I used 4 letters to represent my thoughts of the film: S H I T.
This is just another film where I root for the bad g̶u̶y̶ shark over the annoying cast.
The film goes from day to night constantly, the script is a loose adaptation from the writers classic “Creature From the Black Lagoon”, the acting is barely passable, but I think the ‘Octaman’ is brilliant! Fun B-movie. One of the classic B-indies.
I’ve tried to watch this at least 3 times before now and kept falling asleep. Started earlier and made it through. Should have fallen asleep.
It’s OK. Weird messages and the “hero” is a complete ass throughout the film.
In the film, the lead actress says, “Even I’m bored by this”, and I never agreed with more than anything else in my life.
I loved the idea of Gabriel and his/her fighting abilities (those were great scenes), but this movie didn’t really impress me otherwise.
Picked up the remastered Blu-ray during a sale at Deep Discount.
All these years later, it is still a fun film for me!
Watching the ‘making of’ and just marveling that this movie was ever completed at all. It’s a work of passion as well as art.
