doppelganger is kiyoshi's most comedic feature up until this point in his career, it still retains his trademarks i've come to love about him allong koji yakusho giving yet another great performance.
the doppelganger is first seen as this weird seperate entity but of course, it is not as he's more a representation of michio's personality, his more repulsive tendencies reside in this clone.
the idea works very well and while the film is not laugh out loud funny, it still has its fair share of laughs.(also watch my newest film https://boxd.it/XnDi )

How It Feels
Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.
A deeply unnerving psychological thriller that toys with the boundary between self and other, pulling you into a spiral of paranoia where your own reflection might be your undoing. It's equal parts cosmic horror and darkly absurdist comedy, leaving you uncertain what's real until the final frame.
