its screenplay maybe is not that good but the actors are giving it all which translates into the charming relationship between yuji and io.
i almost dropped a tear when they were reunited when yuji seemingly died.godzilla's design is probably my favorite so far as...idk it just feels right to me. the last lines are probably the most spoonfeeding lines in the entire franchise, godzilla 2000s feels like a mix between late showa era kajiu films and heisei era godzilla so what you think of the film depends on what you think about that mix.
