I think the longer it goes on the better it gets.
I actually kinda loved this....except for the performances of mostly Dakota johnnson and some of chris evans's line deliver is poor but that doesn't take away that the film is a great one about the reality of dating.
Im not the biggest romance fan, I love fiction but I also like some realistic truth behind it all and not all romance films give me that.
I think the make it or break it for allot of people is Dakota johnnson and that is completely understandable.
I do think however that the themes and brutally honest take on the modern dating world is great.
The critique of online dating companies and apps is also great.

How It Feels
Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.
A thoughtful, morally complicated romance that refuses easy answers about desire and consequence. It's as interested in what people want as why they want it.

Reviews
If you go into The Materialists looking to have a good time watching a rom-com starring three loveable hotties, you will straight up not have a good time. If you go into The Materialists remember when you sobbed alone in your living room in the middle of the afternoon watching Past Lives, you will probably be pretty into it. I am the latter.
