can be funny and is a lot better in its cheeziness then something like the devil wears prada but its still stuck in 2004 and not in a good way.
despites having bursts of an interesting depiction of school, its mostly mundane and boring which you can say the same about the characters.
i liked regina george i guess but thats kinda it and the script doesn't give the great cast much. the film also is shot so boringly when its not using transitions (because for some reason the transitions are pretty good) its spiritually a digitally shot film from the last 5 years.
i get how this one has become a lot more iconic then most teen drama's but also it doesn't do a lot of things differentely or more interesting then its peers in the genre. i mean, in its entirety i think that genre more then anything is boring as fuck mostly because the scripts suck and are also dominanetly white centric (which in of itself isn't the doom of the genre, its just that the you can TELL from the way characters talk)its not TERRIBLE or something but there isn't really anything to write home about or comeback to besides some of the performances but at that point just watch a youtube scenepack.

How It Feels
Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.
A wickedly funny high school comedy that balances genuine warmth with sharp social satire, following a new girl's crash course in teenage hierarchy and the cost of popularity. It's deeply entertaining but never loses sight of how brutally the social world can shift beneath you.
