pretty great characters but the pacing is all over the place and i can't take a liar reveal plot seriously in the year 2024

Spirals from realistic to ridiculous almost immediately, in the best way possible. You think it'll be like Superbad but then it's Not Another Teen Movie and... Macgruber.
When I saw this at the theater, there were only a few other people there. I wish it had been more crowded, because I think the WTF-is-happening aspect of this movie would have been great as a large-scale shared experience with strangers.
