the acting is so bad and phoned in(couldn't be nicolas cage somehow) and why tf is the big mouth guy here lmao??
the characters range from bland to bland.
how this got conceived and birthed out of someones mind is beyond me.

Since the holiday season is literally around the corner, it's time to get into the spirit of Christmas, this time with <B>Amazon Prime Video</b>'s <I>Red One</i>, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the Head of Security for Santa (a muscular J.K. Simmons, a far cry from what we see Santa portrayed in books, comics, and mostly every other Christmas film).

Johnson stars as "Cal", Santa's Head of Security, who has served alongside Santa for many years, but has decided to resign from his role (with one last ride in store as Christmas Eve approaches). After a breach at Santa's compound in the North Pole, Cal must rescue Santa before Christmas Day, with the help of the man, Chris Evans' "Jack", who unknowingly located and shared the details for a shady organization, led by "Gryla" (<I>Totally Killer</i>'s Kiernan Shipka), via the Dark Web. Now, it's up to Cal and Jack to find the middleman and to get back their Santa in time for Christmas.

The film, which pairs Johnson and Evans in a more comedic joint effort, takes us on quite an adventure, from the North Pole to Aruba, all while including everything you expect from a Johnson/Evans film - comedy, action, a plot that brings all details together, and CGI effects galore. It's a fun ride as the characters go between different worlds to rescue Santa, especially for the holidays, and one that will go on future Christmas/holiday lists to come.

If you're looking for a fun holiday film for the family, this comes highly recommended, especially if you plan on watching with your LG OLED TV with Perfect Black. Kick back with a glass of eggnog and enjoy!
