yeah this does not hold up at all, steve is barely a characters, bucky is barely a character.
i do like the plot of the film but what really kills it is it lack of focus on the characters because while it plot does center around them, the film does nothing to make them interesting or develop in any meaningful way.
i like steve in the first film since he's got a clear goal from start to finish. this movie he's still the same person but there isn't really anything explored with him and bucky is worse because for the most he's not a character. it makes sense in the story as he's brainwashed but he's never allowed to do something other then aura farm in the battlefield.
the sidecharacters are fine ig.but what really kills the film for me is how lifeless it looks and is edited.
this is one of the worst edited films ever, allong with the story both the editing and cinematography aren't allowed to breath.
it always has to cut to a new angle in like 3 seconds. its destracting as shit.
fast editing can be done well but this is not one of those cases.

How It Feels
Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.
A political thriller dressed up as a superhero action film, where paranoia and moral ambiguity run deeper than explosions. Propulsive and gripping, with a genuine sense of stakes and characters tested beyond their physical limits.

Reviews
Who cares what i think about this movie?
I get to watch guardian of the galaxy next(this movie is good tho)
I usually gravitate towards the crossovers that bring different characters together (Infinity War, Civil Wa) or towards the more comedy-centric ones (Ant-Man, Guardians), but setting that aside, Winter Soldier is one of the strongest MCU movies in terms of plot and characters. It is more of an action/suspense/political thriller vibe than pretty much all the other MCU movies, with meaningful character development. Bonus points for leading us to Scarlet Witch.
