I was really looking forward to Thunderbolts*. I love when existing characters who haven't met yet are mixed and matched (Infinity War, Flintstones Meet the Jetsons, Urkel showing up on Full House). However, I was a little disappointed in it. I liked it, but I wanted to LOVE it. I did LOVE the mid and after credit scenes though.
Most of the themes are pretty dark for an MCU flick, much darker than the trailers indicate. When they skew serious, I can't help but compare it to Winter Soldier, and it's just not at that level. Speaking of Winter Soldier, Bucky is a bit underutilized for being our legacy character, and I think it's weird that he has become a politician. The tone did work well for Yelena (5 stars and a heart for her) and Sentry though.
On the flip side, only Yelena's comedy moments landed consistently for me. I liked Red Guardian a lot in Black Widow, and it was hit or miss for me here.
Overall, it does feel like an older MCU movie though. We know almost all of the characters. The plot ties into several prior installments. The end credit scene relates to something that's actually happening soon in the same universe. And also I really love Yelena, so much.

The Miyazaki movies make me very sleepy because they are so relaxing, but I stayed awake for this one the whole time.
It's very cute and sweet. This is what I thought all of the Miyazaki movies would be like. I love the Catbus.
I thought it was funny sometimes, and the rest of the time I didn't like it.
I had apparently watched this years ago, but I had almost no memory of doing so. Most of the film was fresh to me.
This Quatermass is an arrogant ass throughout. It is really odd watching a film where your protagonist isn’t the least bit likable!
Good story and well acted, but it feels abridged. Like a multiparty series was created and then severely chopped to make a single movie
Josh Hartnett had the worst hair in every movie, and it didn't even matter. It still doesn't.
Love this, love the book, love Kirsten Dunst.
Favorite (Not Necessarily Best) Four From Every Year Since Birth
I guess I was wrong about westerns, because this was very good. I thought it was going to be just cool guys with their cool hats and cool mustaches shooting guns in a dusty patch outside of a saloon. That stuff happens, but Val Kilmer is really funny, and I was pretty into him. There are also women characters, Jason Priestley, and John Locke from Lost. The worst part is Michael Rooker's curly hair.
<I>Locked</i> takes advantage of (and ruins) a great premise and the talents of both Bill Skarsgård's acting range and Anthony Hopkins' sinister voice. From the start of the film, it was obvious that they could've done something better, even watch paint dry, than star in this film.

This film has very low gas mileage.

Friends With Kids has a lot of lines that make me laugh, even though I wouldn't consider it a comedy. The plot is a little weird, but I like the dialogue. I'm not usually a big Maya Rudolph fan, but I like her in this. I like a mean Maya. I don't like the progression of Kristen Wiig and John Hamm's characters though, so big minus for that.
I love the crew behind these films, but <I>Screamboat</i> began to sink the moment it began. David Howard Thornton is always fun to watch, no matter what character he's playing, but he alone couldn't save this film as the cast made me want to steer the ship into anything that was in its way.
It's insane that Kyle Mooney isn't involved in this.
Drop made me nostalgic for PG-13 thrillers from the early 2000s like Swimfan, Wicker Park, and Joy Ride. None of which are particularly good (I like them anyway), but they were fun to see in theaters with my friends, because we weren't old enough to get into rated R movies.
Overall it's a fun watch, and I especially loved the waiter. It took a dive for me in the last 15 minutes or so, with a few wild choices, including everyone getting quippy all of the sudden.
