Easier to follow on the second watch, although it is still a LOT to process at a quick pace for a long time. Raccacoonie is my favorite bit.

Maybe I liked this more when it came out because the book was fresh in my mind. I didn't like it today though. I love puzzles, and I don't care about religious history, so mostly I wanted it to be over.
Four stars for the scenes with Kevin Bacon, and two stars for the scenes with the gang. Everything with the gang felt very 90's-made-for-tv-movie. If I only saw the gang scenes, there is no chance I would think this was made in 2007.
That sounds pretty negative for giving it 3.5 stars, but if it was a weighted average, Kevin Bacon is in it a LOT more, so there is more 4 star time than 2 star time.
The idea is interesting, kind of like The Purge, but the execution isn't there. Katie lived in Michigan and didn't know Los Angeles was doing this. Feels like everyone in the county would know.
I liked all the ninja turtles stuff though.
Abigail Breslin was such a cutie, and Rachel Weisz is everything. It's a little weird to see Ryan Reynolds in these roles when he stopped being Van Wilder but wasn't Deadpool yet. Just a guy who was really into Bill Clinton.
Great example of a “just OK” film.

My family calls out "titular line!" when a character says the name of the movie, and I liked how often we got to do that during Heat.
I get why people are into this. I didn't personally connect with it enough to love it. The masculine energy is firing on all cylinders.
Wallace Shawn is just the best. The battle of wits with the poison is my favorite scene. I loved it so much that I was a little bummed about everything afterwards because I wanted more Vizzini.
Tim Burton’s long-awaited sequel brings together faces old and new, along with his signature style of directing that includes stop-motion scenes, just like the original’s charm. Winona Ryder brings classic Winona, reminding us once again why we have loved her work for so many years, and Michael Keaton brings the laughs, but new addition Jenna Ortega is forgettable and just there for the ride.
While it was nice to get another <i>Beetlejuice</i> film, I think saying his name one more time is more than enough.
The Town reminds me of when my son taught me how to play Payday 2, and I wasn't very good, but it was fun to put on the masks and ziptie the bank employees.
I forgot how good this is. The heist scenes are great, and the character development is even better. I can take or leave action-heists, but they did a great job making complex and interesting characters in this one.
From beginning to end, it was quite predictable what was going to happen in this film. Megan Fox and Madeline Zima do the best they can with what they're given, but the film ultimately short circuits as soon as it began. The acting and writing are dismal, but it's a well-directed film, and I wish I could give more credit to SK Dale's attempt at trying to keep this shipwreck afloat.

Keke Palmer's charisma is too much for this world.
I liked this a lot more on the rewatch. My favorite part is when Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun are yelling back and forth to each other, which doesn't sound that great when I type it out, but in reality it is very funny.
