Sam Rockwell is so funny. I love how all the threads of the story come together, but mostly I just love Sam Rockwell.
When this came out, I didn't like it. I must have been half asleep or something. I had a toddler; it happens.

Dang, this is how you do a spinoff. Obsessed with Harvey Guillén in general and now also as Perrito.
It looks like Shrek except when it looks like Spiderverse, and when it looks like Spiderverse, it is stunning. It hits the iconic Shrek fairytale elements without feeling like we've been there, done that. The voice acting is great, although John Mulaney's voice did not match his character, so that's a miscast for me.
“I Come in Peace” may be Dolph’s best work. I mean, he’s awful, but the film is actually kind of fun!
Dolph tries so hard, but when he gives some of his lines, you can almost hear them thud!
I wasn't into this when it came out, despite loving the cast, and I'm not that into it now. Sebastian and Annette fall in love after maybe four interactions, but I guess that's teen love for you. I do like a villainous Sarah Michelle Gellar though.
Move over Planes, Trains, and Automobiles because The Rock is going for the record for most modes of transportation used in a movie.

I love the idea of this. The execution fell short of my expectations, but I was expecting it to be a new favorite. It made me want to watch Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist.
David and Max didn't get quite enough character development for me to fully care about them. I liked them both; I just wanted more. Lucy Boynton is captivating though, and I like Justin H Min and the soundtrack.
I hated this movie in high school, and now I hate it in my 30s. I thought maybe I would feel differently. I do like the little coconut clopping part.
I love Rango's animation. I just can't get into the story. It sort of feels inspired by movies like No Country For Old Men, which I do like, but maybe not as an animated movie.
Great concept and, at times, effects, but there were times when I was thankful for closed captioning because I had trouble throughout trying to understand what they were saying. The film did lag a lot, and the "chapters" was an unnecessary feature, but the final fifteen minutes brought it all together.

I always preferred The Mask out of the Jim Carrey 1994 trio.
Nineties Jim Carrey is so distinctly cartoonisn that if an actor does anything even remotely similar, I still think, "Oh they're doing a Jim Carrey thing?" thirty years later. My favorite part is when all the animals come out from hiding; it's very Munchkins in Oz.
Other than that, it still gets a few decent laughs from me in the first half. I fell asleep for the last half hour, but I remember what happens for the most part, and I know it hasn't aged well.
I wanted to like this. Its like Napoleon Dynamite meets Flight of the Conchords, except Jarrod is Napoleon multiplied by Dwight Schrute and then minus any good qualities. He is insufferable.
If the romance part was removed, it would work better. Jarrod's threatening phone calls to his high school bully were funny, and I liked the scenes with Lily and Jarrod's family.
