This is a passable remake but honestly I just can't get over how ugly the doll is. Also taking away the element of the doll being possessed and instead making it an AI choice is too big of a fundamental difference from the source material for me.

Five stars for Nikki Glaser. I don't follow football so I don't know the lore. Lore doesn't feel like the right word for football but you know what I mean.
Three hours is so long. I get the thrill of it being live but editing would be helpful here, along with picking some more comedians. Gronk and whichever Manning that was were funny, but I might be biased because I know who they are (thanks to their appearances on Big Brother and SNL respectively).
Everything about Maid is excellent. Each character is artfully crafted with depth and nuances to the point where you are right there with Alex, wanting to give them second chances in one episode and wanting to write them off forever in the next.
Domestic violence stories are tricky, running the risk of Lifetime movie cheese on one end and torture porn on the other. Maid tells this story from the most human perspective possible.
Guardians 3 is very balanced among the core group, and their key pals like Kraglin and Cosmo get some moments of their own. I love ensembles, especially when everyone gets their time to shine.
I frequently forgot about Adam Warlock and the High Evolutionary though. They would show up, and I would be surprised they were part of the movie. I could take a whole Guardians movie with no villain though and just enjoy the ride, so I'm not complaining.

While I loved the storyline and sets, I eventually folded on <I>Tarot</i>. Between the mismatched casting, the terrible script, and acting that would dominate the Razzie Awards, the film was a complete disappointment.
However, while not a great film, it was saved by LG OLED's Perfect Black because it truly brought out the creatures/monsters' design in all their glory.

In casinos, many card decks are discarded after use. The same can be said about <I>Tarot</i>.
Civil War was not what I was expecting until about the last 20 minutes. The first half is pretty light on the action compared to the vibe of the trailer, so I was often waiting for something to happen. The waiting wasn't like being bored though. Parts of the film are very quiet which builds a lot of tension, so the waiting is more of an anticipation.
The whole cast is great, and Kirsten Dunst is one of my lifelong favorites. Everyone will leave the theater talking about Jesse Plemons in an uncredited role on screen for seven minutes.
If you're one of those people who doesn't watch something because it's too hyped, stop doing that and give this a watch.
The premise reads like a cheesy Netflix docu-series, but it is fictionalized, well-acted and written, and frequently shocking.

Caitlin Cronenberg's feature directorial debut focuses on a family that must make a government-ordered decision to sacrifice one member after one escapes their impending doom. While a strong debut direction-wise, the film feels like <I>The Purge</i> but somewhat violence-free, and eventually fails to deliver in the end.
On a side note, every time I saw Enrico Colantoni (Bob) come onscreen, I heard his <i>Galaxy Quest</i> voice.

Great cast, minus Jay Baruchel, and story, but a bit of a flawed execution.
Heathers is the perfect counterbalance to basically every other teen comedy from the 80s. More than the plot going in obviously a very different direction, the dialogue is so sharp and dark. Winona Ryder, Christian Slater, and the rest of the cast deliver every line to perfection. This concept shouldn't even be a comedy, but it is hilarious.

This is an adorable teenage rom-com, a little light on the "com" though. I kept thinking about how much it reminded me of The Summer I Turned Pretty only to learn via post-watch Googling that both are based on book series from the same author.
