I’m 50/50 on Tom Hardy here. There are times where I think he is perfect, and then I don’t.
Not the worst movie I’ve seen. It’s about the only way you could of done a “Venom” story AND make him an actual hero, and it is certainly an improvement over the “Spider-Man 3” symbiote debacle.

Meh, I liked the first one better. Neither are great films, but this one didn’t really seem to have any focus other than getting Carnage on the screen and the “bickering couple” thing between Eddie and Venom gets old fast.
I have not watched this film since…late 80s maybe?
I’m amazed at how much fun it still is! I absolutely love the “space-pirate” aesthetic, complete with sabers and eye patches, and I am amazed at some of the cast members! Angelica Huston and Ron Perlman?!
I’m not saying a post-apocalyptic movie with a society of beautiful women enslaving men SHOULD have gratuitous nudity, but it certainly wouldn’t have hurt.
What it definitely does NOT need is a stupid voice over narration! (And by a minor character to boot!)
Deadly parasites/virus/creatures picking off an isolated crew because someone makes a bad decision is getting to be a tired and overused trope, but at least this one does it fairly well.
Impressive acting, filming and effects for an indie film
Starring no one from the first film and at least 30 minutes too long, this still manages to be a worthy sequel. Impressive creatures and even some decent miniature work
There are things about this that people could mention to argue that this isn’t a good movie. I get that, but I think it is fun time! Plus, the creature suits are fantastic!
Why in the world this was included in a “50 SCI-FI ‘Classics’” box set is beyond me.
Just a drama with beefy guys running from the law who find themselves on an island with Pearl diving women. Superstitions and greed get in the way of love and then a shark eats somebody.

I worked for Wework in 2012. This film goes into great detail as to how messed up this company is/was, but there was so much more that they didn’t show and/or tell, such as how they treated employees (absolutely terrible) and spent a ton of money on insane parties and booze.
The death count is pretty high in this, especially when you consider all the childhoods that the film likely killed.
Is it really a Christmas movie? Sure.
