Since being added to <a href="http://letterboxd.com/shudder" title="Shudder">Shudder</a>’s library (December 2021), it was definitely worth revisiting this film. It’s dark and emotional, and watching the main scenario unravel just blew my mind. 👏🏻

Gave it a second viewing on the plane. The kills are still fantastic, but the story still doesn’t do it for me.
This was playing at the gate (at the airport). There was no sound, only closed captioning. Man, this film sucks.

The budget of this film must’ve been so low that the voice of the narrator is definitely a Microsoft text to speech tool.
#ThingsIWatchAtTheGym — This was fine for a 4:30am run. Otherwise, a laughable mess, which I know it was intended to be.
This film most likely had the perfect pitch and a ton of money was given to finance it. Then, the crew took all of that money, had a huge beach party, and everyone got wasted. When they woke up the next day to begin the first day of filming, they realized they had about 1/10th of the budget left and said, "we got this!"
Almost 8 years after the poorly-received 2014 flop <I><A HREF="https://boxd.it/80SW">V/H/S: Viral</A></I>, the series seemed to have been shelved forever... until this year.
The V/H/S series is back on track. The wraparound story was a little weak in regards to both acting and dialog, and still managed to keep the film together, but each segment (tape) was properly mixed into the overall film.
Both Timo Tjahjanto and Simon Barrett's tapes were my personal favorites, but the others did shine on their own as well.
Here's to hoping for more V/H/S in the near future!
