its unbelieveable such a trilogy got made in the 60s.

really boring and plain, this film in of itself has allot of weird racial implications. the film is about a white man becoming a driver for a black man.
i don't think either of two are good characters because why am i suppose to care about these two?
because the plot demands me too but it doesn't work as the script is really lazy aswell as the directing. i won't go further on about the films weird racial things because alot of other people can explain that better and already have but even if you remove that, its a plain burger with no meat inbetween the buns.
i don't get how this is rated so high because this film and the things in it are nothing special.
I might be insane for watching it a 3rd time.....
they absolutly cooked with the music when buster is filming the "tong war"
there is nothing special about this film other then maybe timothee's performance and even then that wasn't oscar worthy.
the cinematography is pretty good but there were still allot of better looking films.
hell the other mediocre 2024 musical biopic better man is better.
just.......watch it for yourself.

I love bong and i love monster movies/korean horror films, this is a match made in heaven for me.
this movie felt like a long car ride.
mark wahlberg goes NOT beast mode.
only thing that holds this movie together is ke huy quan.
the writers didn't try at least because outside of the conflict that is set up, there is nothing going on and no characters development, now not every action film needs complex characters to be good but they should raise more conflict then the main one that drives the whole story because this movie is 83 minutes long and without the credits it barely reaches the 80 minute mark.
honestly i hate basic action movies because practically there all the same just with a different famous person each and everytime.
finished season 2 of the show today and now this masterpiece.
i already like the imagery lynch displays in each of his films but i think this his best usage of that because its sprinkled threwout the film, in the middle and end he uses it sparingly wich gives it more weight when something absurd or haunting occurs.
the show is really great, the cast is really charming and while not everyone appears in this film its still very nice when one of the sidecharacters appears.
special agent cooper isn't much in the film but that makes sense since this is a preqeul to the show.
laura palmer is fleshed out more wich in turn creates more depth to the show because it makes the first episode and the rest of the show more emotional.
laura was a real human being who was troubled.
sheryl lee gives an amazing performance and so does everyone else.
the one thing i do miss is how the show was shot.
this film looks beautifull and it makes sense why the show and film looks so different but honestly i like how small and isolated twin peaks feels.
it felt like twin peaks was all there is on earth, i can't complain since again this film looks amazing.
I see the problems, every complaint everybody has had with the monkey is justified but with that said im a sucker for shlocky and weird horror movies.
It has allot less practical effects then i expected wich is kinda dissapointing.
I love the design of the titular monkey.
I don't really like the final destination movies but somehow i liked this, probably cause i enjoy the directing style of osgood perkins but this far weaker then longlegs in writing and direction because while i just said that, the monkey's tone is all over the place.
