I don't usually mind flashbacks, but there are so many that it constantly disrupts the flow and ruins any momentum. Strange choice to cast Jon Snow and Robb Stark when there's a character named Sersi. That plus Angelina Jolie feel like stunt casting. Kumail Nanjiani is the comic relief and my favorite character, even though it doesn't really fit the vibe.
This should have been a tv show. Imagine if it had been like Lost, where each episode gives you someone's back story, and by the end you have grown to care about every character.
Not horrible, just not particularly good. Too many forgettable and unlikable people/characters, and all embroiled in a terribly generic plot.
