Such a weird film.
What in theory should've been a slam dunk, is in actuality a mediocre mess of a film.
There has been information about the fact the crew got given 1 year less of development time as this and toy story 4 switches release dates so it's not entirely the fault of the people who made this. There are allot of deleted scenes showcasing the potential this film had but thats just it, potential.
The film is more so busy with the superhero side of things then actually telling a good story.
Hellen is kinda insufferable in this film as in the first film it's understandable why she acts the way she does but here its kinda bullshit. At this point in the timeline she should've already believed the law is maybe not as sacred as she thought.
Bob is just....there, he seems not that supportive of his wife doing superhero work.
Overall most of the returning character don't have anything new to tell. The action is still great, better then the first one maybe.
The animation looks great on a technical level but the new character designs are not good. I like 2 of the new characters designs and its because they don't look like pixars usually clashing of realistic everything else and cartoons designs.
That's not ultimately a bad thing automatically but when you look at the first film, imo its the best looking pixar film in terms of making that perfect balance between looking animated but have the background not have real looking textures.
Yes I agree, there are some weird looking background characters but most of the time it looks great. But this film kinda drops the ball with it, the new supers look very weird when side by side with the old supers.
Even bob looks weird sometimes.
Again I don't hate this film but its nothing really special.
Where the first film was very smart, this film is the same but dumbed down.

How It Feels
Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.
A witty, kinetic superhero adventure that's equally invested in explosive action sequences and the mundane chaos of parenting, treating both with equal comedic weight and genuine heart.
