If you like 90's/early-2000's Disney made-for-tv movies, and you like them unironically and not for the nostalgia, AND you like big budget science fiction, this is the movie for you. It's a very specific set of parameters. I could see it being popular with tweens if it had debuted on a streaming app and was at least 45 minutes shorter.
I did enjoy Kathryn Hahn and Keegan-Michael Key fighting a child robot, and I think Britt Robertson is likeable. There is a part where she is in a car and is screaming because something crazy happened in the passenger seat, and it was VERY believable. I think she should try a horror movie or two; there could be something there for her in the scream queen realm.
