A long but neccesary journey.
First off i like kaij struggles with work and doing what he thinks is morally right,its what the entire film is depending on and its damm good.
I thought the wife was not that fleshed out but the other characters have reasons and motivations that are believeable.
The top dog of all of this,kaij's boss has motives that some ceo's actually have,like wich boss actually cares about people,enemy,ally,it doesn't matter.
All the other employees allongside kaij either have no choice and just do their work and others beat or abuse the labor workers because their prisoners,why would it be not justified?
They are there for a reason.
Its a great first film about whats morally good and bad(at least thats how i see it)

Also it feels weird to see mark ruffulo play in a non mcu film

just an engaging movie about samurai.
honestly my favorite samurai film.
this movie the more it goes on leans more and more into action.
see in the beginning there isn't really any fight scene but when we get closer to the end,we get more and more fight scenes.
My least favorite of the films so far but its still peak
honestly my favorite kurosawa film so far.
its simple,its fantastic and i fully believe its underrated.sanada and matsunaga are great leads played really great by takashi shimura and toshiro mifune.
i just really like that its simple,its a breath of fresh air and i don't mean that in a bad way since i really loved akira's films so far but again i just really like that this one is the most simple film i have seen of his so far
On the surface the plot is very normal but somehow lynch still puts his own spin on the romance/drama genre
If perfect days didn't exist then this would be the best looking movie i have ever watched
