Is this the best scene of someone falling down a flight of stairs in all of cinema? I think it might be.
What a CHARMER Breakin 2 Electric Boogaloo is. I'm here for the dancing and the 80s fashion and the vibes. I'm not at all invested in Kelly, even after two movies. They really want me to care about Kelly, and I can't get there.
When they're all in the hospital room after the best stair fall ever, the girlfriend comes out of the closet, and the old guy is like "What was she doing in there?" One of the kids says "Maybe she lives there." They never say what she was doing. I loved that part.

Scream 7 was already going to be the collective least favorite after the firing of Melissa Barrera, but it's like they wanted to make sure. The more I think about the movie itself, the more disappointing it is.

Not a good movie, but damn that was fun!
The soundtrack is ridiculous, the plot is inconsequential, and the star is often subbed in with a stunt double with one of the worst wigs…Oh, my gosh was it fun in a ridiculous over-the-top way.
Breakin simultaneously feels like a parody and endlessly sincere. The tuxedo dance performance is like Save the Last Dance when Julia Stiles gets into Julliard, and it's also like Pitch Perfect when the Barden Bella's learn to just be themselves, and it's like Bring It On when the Torros meld all the dance styles. I guess we owe a lot to Breakin, if you really think about it, and this is before electric boogaloo.
I'll probably never watch it again. Super fun vibes though. Love the broom scene.
I thought it was about Bill Skarsgård falling in love with and then killing Daniel Radcliffe. That's not it at all. Bill Skarsgård isn't even in it. I think I accidentally made that up and then believed, but either way, I had a hard time getting past my false memory of what it was about versus reality, and then I just couldn't get into it, and that's on me.
I love Daniel Radcliffe and Ben Foster though.
One of my favorite underrated comfort movies
So much fun and well deserving of the accolades and the moniker of “groundbreaking.”
Relient K plays in the background while Topher Grace plays a sketchy pastor, and that alone is worth the $5 I paid to see this. If somehow that doesn't do it for you, Zach Woods is also worth the $5 I paid. All together, you should be willing to pay $10 I guess.
How to Make a Killing is a solid watch. I was never bored. Some unpredictable things happen. Also some predictable things happen, but that's fine. My main complaint is that it's a LOT of men, and the direction to Margaret Qualley seems to have been "try to do sexy things with your legs as much as possible while sort of pouring." I think she can do more. Let her do more. Also let Glen Powell kill women and men equally.
The science is all over the map to be sure, but there are not many sci-fi films that you don’t have to loosen the suspension on your disbelief, so let’s put that aside.
What makes this an interesting film are the ideas that are barely touched on. The crew of the Icarus 1 and its captain. What drove them to what they did? Did they do it willingly, or was it all the captains doing?
You get the idea that one of the Icarus 2’s crew could have gone down the same road, but he is dispatched before we know whether that was the case or not.
The action scenes are filmed in a very artist manner, so much so that you are never really sure of what you are seeing. I wonder if a more conventional approach would have made it a little more palatable for the audience, but then you’d lose a bit of uniqueness.
Still like it, just don’t love it and I feel I could have.

3 star movie with a 4 star soundtrack equals a 3.5 star rating.
I wasn't especially into Loser when it came out. It was Amy Heckerling's next movie after CLUELESS though, so I was wondering if maybe it's a hidden gem that I just didn't appreciate at the time. It's not, unfortunately, but it's fine. Mena Suvari is adorable, and the soundtrack is killer. They gave Jason Biggs an unfortunate haircut.
Maybe a weird choice for a Valentine's Day watch but I like what I like
