An instant comfort film on the first watch while also not actually being very good, but I kind of love it (especially when Krysten Ritter crawls down buildings).
It's like when you give a movie nostalgia bonus points, except somehow this was grandfathered in. The Alicia Silverstone / Amy Heckerling combo is so familiar, like it's a (vampire) sequel to Clueless. Every time Alicia and Krysten are walking and chatting, it takes me to Cher & Dionne.

Minus the Mickey Mouse mask, this could've been any terrible horror film.
I've loved Josh Hartnett since The Faculty in 1998, and even 25+ years into being a fan I was impressed with his performance here. It's weird to say he's good with his face, but he's so good with his face. His smiles when he's pretending to be just a regular ol' dad were so funny, and he was able to flip in and out of these expressions so seamlessly.
You do have to roll with some suspension of disbelief, especially in the second half, but I don't see M Night films for the intense realism.
Over all it isn’t a BAD movie, it is just a little… loose.
Some scenes feel out of place while others just sort of stop before they feel they should.
Moriarty’s character is the best thing about this film, IMO. If the effects were as good as he was, this would have really been something.
Started off a little hard to follow. Once I had a handle on what was happening, I was into it. I don't know anything about sports betting, so for the climactic moments of watching a game with a huge bet on the line, I had to just vibe off the tension levels of the characters. You feel that frenetic energy. There is almost no downtime.
My family is very upset that I'm giving this 3 stars after giving Mamma Mia 5 stars this afternoon. Honestly Predator was going to get 2.5 stars until the credits rolled and the actors each did a little pose into the camera. I loved that part.
Look, this just isn't for me, but hey, now I've seen it. It's no Kindergarten Cop, that's for sure.
The easiest, breeziest musical to watch in the background while you work. Amanda Seyfried is a delight. Perhaps some strange casting choices from a vocal abilities standpoint other than her, but it is a lot of fun, so I don't really care.

<I>Don’t Look Away</i> is filled with elements of <I>SMILE</i>, <I>Final Destination</i> and <I>It Follows</i>, but fails to fully deliver due to its lazy attempt to scare its viewers with a non-moving, but creepy mannequin and a few off-screen kills.

I like the first half hour, then I lose interest for a half hour, and then I like the last half hour. Mostly I like John Malkovich in the opening scene, and then every moment with JK Simmons, David Rasche, or Richard Jenkins.
You know Jesse Bradford killed it when we are crushing on a character named CLIFF.
Honestly I'm appalled that this has an average rating of 3.3. On the surface, it's incredibly quoteable and fun with a fantastic cast, and "Just What I Need" is still a jam. Going deeper, it is about cultural appropriation and racial inequities. The Clovers are the underdogs, and Red and Aaron are the villains. The Toros are the protagonists but not heroes.

Easily my favorite pre-90's Disney movie, and my #1 favorite movie overall for vibes. I'm a blonde girl who has always had a cat, so as a child I preferred Alice to all the Disney princesses. Also there's cake.
My all time favorite part is Veruca Salt's song but my NEW favorite is the scene when a lady's husband is being held hostage, and when the ransom is her case of Wonka Bars, she says "How long will they give me to think it over?"
