I've never seen the original, so I was expecting to not like this very much. They did a good job making this accessible to those in that camp with me. It's a fun action movie with a likeable young cast, along with Tom Cruise doing his Tom Cruise thing.

I love mockumentaries, and I hadn't seen this since before the show came out so I was overdue for a revisit. I think I liked it more after five seasons of the show. Even though the characters are different, I am more invested and attached to the premise. Every moment with Stu is gold, and I love Nick telling everyone he is a vampire.

This is also definitely one of those "not for everyone" comedies, but if you are even considering watching it, you probably know if it's your type of comedy or not.

This was shot within a beautiful landscape. Unfortunately, the film didn't deliver. The film had too much yappening and not enough happening. The entire time, I prayed for the couple to meet their fate so that I can carry on with my day, but the quicksand gods had other plans. Like quicksand, I was slowly tortured throughout this film.

Started off fine, but, as the story unfolds, it becomes a bit too predictable. Still, the tension can be felt through each character and the struggles they're going through, but hoped for something not too familiar at the end.

(Annie Hamilton can slide into my DMs, though)

I live in New York and have no idea where Fire Island is or why people go there. However, I'm now a Fire Island expert (not really) and can tell you, fellow readers, to both not go there and watch this film. Period.

Great costumes, fun soundtrack, and Emma Stone seems like she's having the time of her life. I'm just still not sure who this was made for with this 2+ hour runtime.

An airplane full of passengers and crew that you would sooner jump out of the airplane than have to sit next to, crash in the Bermuda Triangle and wash up on a deserted island. They each are mercifully killed off by savage beast-men.
You’ll cheer every death because NO ONE is likable.

I'm not here for the story. It's probably fine though. This is mindless action movie background content for me, like Jason Statham movies were in the Transporter/Crank days. I root for Keanu, and Keanu only, and that is easy. I have seen all four but I can't tell you anything about them except that I think dads would like them.
