This is maybe the most pleasantly surprised I've ever been by a movie. I watched it on a whim, and within minutes I was obsessed with it. Obsessed with the combination of live action and stop motion. Obsessed with every line of dialogue. It blew my mind.

It’s the heroes journey, only more boring.
The author of the original novel got a lot a heat for ripping off Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. (Well deserved criticism, if you ask me, but the criticism of plagiarism needs to be laid at the feet of George Lucas and probably Tolkien too. Fair is fair.
Pretty bad. OK, really bad.
I know this was edited for a television release from a much more graphic film after it sat on a shelf for years, but I think they were a little too rambunctious with the scissors.
Assuming this movie ever made any sense, they snipped any coherence right out of it.
Air is better than any movie about shoes should be. It kept my interest the entire time even though we all know how it ends, and also I don't really care about shoes or basketball. Ben Affleck is funnier than I thought.
We've seen the adult male/teenage girl version of it before 2002's The Hot Chick, but Freaky adds a horror twist which makes it different and fresh. Teen horror is my favorite horror, so even though I think this was just "good", I can see it joining the annual October rotation.

<i>Evil Dead Rise</i>, the fifth film in the popular franchise, delivers a film for the fans, by fans.

Set in a soon-to-be demolished apartment building in Los Angeles, far from the desolate cabin atmosphere we’re used to, we’re introduced to a family of five who must battle the now-awakened evil spirits in their incredibly large apartment and, eventually, entire building.
<i>Evil Dead Rise</i> features everything you expect from an <i>Evil Dead</i> film: Nods/References to previous films (you can never go wrong with recycling those famous one-liners), great (and creative) kills, and an incredible use of available resources. Oh, and there’s blood. <b>A lot of it</b>.
Throughout the film, I found myself smiling at the amount of blood and creative use of kitchen appliances, but mainly enjoyed the fact that we have a new <i>Evil Dead</i> film to experience on the big screen.
Go get some.

Just as I remembered, the 2nd film is even better than the first.

I had not watched this in a long time.
For a low budget vampire film from the 90s, it still holds together pretty well. While I’m willing to concede that over all it may be just on the north side of mediocre, there are a few flashes of genius.
I still really enjoyed it!
Do enough people know what Parabellum means that it makes sense to call the movie that? I had to Google it.
Not that different than the other two but harder to follow and less fun.
I wanted The Super Mario Bros Movie to be funnier than it is. I was expecting something on par with The Lego Movie or Wreck It Ralph, in terms of transcending ages and generations. I do like the animation and the nostalgia, because I'm a sucker for fan service. Overall it's a perfectly fine movie, but I think it could have been much more.
