There is almost quiet torment found in every soul present in this film.
Its long takes and dry feeling when everything is silent draws something extremely painful with it.Its stance on moral revenge, justice, loss and pain is heartbreaking.
All these people are connected via a web off grief and torment that they'll never get rid off.
They don't get to forget, they have to be tormented by the memories.
Like the film itself says, they are already dead, they are dead but still living.

This film is not that amazing but what i do like, is charming.
I mean yes its a cartoon coming to the real world film from the 2000s but In my opinion, its still kinda a sweet film and Kenan Thompson plays his part really well.
In a world where everybody hates eachother and tries to tear eachother apart, we need a movie like fat albert.(Also watch my film my own birthday gift )
lee pace is beautiful in this tragic biopic.
im usually not a fan of films based on real life and real events but when this one justifies its existence by also being a commentary on associating with trans people and how people will look down on others just because of that.im also not usually a big fan of movies that are about a person who's trans
but actually have a straight dude as the protagonist but the film smartly makes barry winchell qeustion his sexuality. it does pander somewhat to "is loving trans girls gay" question(its not gay btw) but i do think for the time it worked because there is an issue that co exists in trans spaces aswell as other social spaces in that, whoever associates with a trans person is seen as gay or weird when its not.
it can lead to violence, sexism or transphobia or all of them because most straight people cannot comprehend trans problems, situations and overall existence.
this movie is really beautifull, its still somewhat of its time but besides a few scenes it really shines through as an amazing and underrated trans film and the fact this happened is really tragic. idk if this part also actually happened but imagine if you heard your lover died via the radio.(also watch my movie https://boxd.it/bAMBX3 )
The chemistry between the two main leads is impeccable and the story is pretty sweat.
The fact one of the youngest ocar nominees came from this film is not a suprise at all. Idk man, its just a really easy film to like.

not entirely my thing but i thought dersu and the captains bromance was the best part about the film but honestly.....i can't say i was that moved by this one.
still excellent performances and direction but im more invested in its central dynamic then anything else it has to say about nature sadly

I like ralph baksi but this is not it.
Basically what the 2000s trilogy could've been if they actually did all three books in 1 movie which should tell you everything.
The animation is charming but the rotoscope use becomes exhausting halfway as it looks off allot of the times.(Watch my movie https://boxd.it/bAMBX3 )
Nothing to say, idk anything about dick Cheney and I think i now know less.
Like allot of biopics, it races from one scene to the next and it shows us how evil Cheney is but without any nuance whatsoever.
Sam Rockwell and Jesse plemons are wasted and idk why Tyler Perry was here.
Its directed fairly standard, its fine but the shots are super generic and luckily it doesn't look entirely like shit but thats not saying much.
Christian bale is fine, I don't care about his performance here.(Watch my movie https://boxd.it/bAMBX3 )
i've seen someone else compare this to breaking bad and its sorta spot on.
both follow a person with a mental illness ready to do some dishonest jobs for their family but where they differ is in that walter white is a sort of deconstruction of a heroes journey to where as here, wenders shows the guilt and character of jonathan zimmer.
dennis hopper is in this aswell and he's great aswell.
the film looks great with its grimey feel and all.(also watch my movie https://boxd.it/bAMBX3 )
