Stand by me is great.
Its leads are sympathetic and i really like the fact most of the adults in this are dickheads.I can see myself in some of these events, i don't have the same friends as i did 4 years ago, I look at those years with nostalgia and wanting to get those friendships back.

Willow is a fine fantasy flick.
Definitly can see why this is kind of a cult classic but imo its way to busy with stuff that aren't that well written.I didn't care for any character besides willow, the titular character and i wasn't really impressed with any performances. I do think its cool this film is lead by a dwarf actor which you rarely saw then and still rarely see now.

While this documentary doesn't give me as much new information about the great buster keaton as much as I'd like, its still cool to see all these people be inspired by keaton.
The way everyone here talks about him, it doesn't feel artificial at all.

Its cool to see how this and many other things paved the way for the horror genre but this one is kinda weird in that its still entertaining but the story is all over the place.

Imo far more interesting for its character work then part 2 and allot more fun.
Hooray for me being the first person ever to preffer this one over part 2.
Emmett brown is a great character but in the first 2 he's just kinda Marty's buddy, it made sense for the first film i guess but here they do allot with him which I really like.Also watch my films

still pretty fun but it lacks something going on with doc and jennifer.
where the first film was structurly sound, the seqeul already loses some of that with its strange inclusion of jennifer in the story.she's there but also not. she's not really a character and more of an obstacle and it sometimes feels like doc also just appears when its convenient.
marty is still marty but idk, there is a lack of a character arc for him.
i don't think characters calling him chicken is not really an arc.

very 80s and nostalgic but personally i don't think its a perfect film.
i think the film does pay offs very well and the characters are good but its kinda vanilla, like the its good but not really much more then that.

I think what Benny gave us, is not special in its narrative and characters but im more so interested in it thematically.
Many movies probably do it better but I do think the film displays an air of toxicity around it, every scene, every character, every shot.
The fact the whole main story kicks in because mark lost really drives home how egotistical and toxic sport actually is.These guys are the top of the food chain.
Big men. Allot of muscles but every time, every sport, people lose something human. I have a sister who does teakwondo and allot of the time she loses she's sad and cries.
Its understandable but when does it get through to every single one of them that losing is a gift.
I think its cool how allot of the characters are heavily flawed and assholes half the time.I love the score, its first jazzy and bombastic but over its runtime, the music evolves into more tense, drum filled adrenaline.
