I saw this in the theater as a kid, and I loved it so much I bought the junior novelization, and then it was also my favorite book.

I've always thought I had watched this before, but it turns out I had just seen enough clips of the Riddler to have felt like I had.
I like Val Kilmer, Nicole Kidman, and Michael Gough. I did not like anything with the Riddler and Two Face, which unfortunately was a large portion of the runtime.
I can't believe I cried so many times about boy friendship, and I can't believe that's Mark Hamill.
I didn't know anything about his other than the very basic premise of boys have to go on a long walk in a Hunger Games kind of way. I thought there would be a horror element, because it's a Stephen King movie being released in the fall. There's not.
It's a lot of walking, a lot of dialogue, and a little bit of Judy Greer. I was LOCKED IN the whole time. I didn't love the last 5-10 minutes, but I'll give it some grace there.
I was super into this when it played before Toy Story 3, and I am still pretty into it.
Whoever cast Wallace Shawn as Rex deserves an award.
The Toy Story shorts are so good. Barbie and Ken try to stow away on Bonnie's vacation to Hawaii so they can have their first kiss on the beach. Ken is Michael Keaton! Barbie is Jodi Benson, aka The Little Mermaid! So cute.
Toy Story That Time Forgot is the perfect amount of story for 22 minutes. I would love more of these tv specials featuring some of the other toys that fill out the Toy Story ensemble. My only beef is that this is allegedly a Christmas special, and it's not Christmasy enough for me to remember that.
Black Bag hits the ground running from the very first sentence, so you have to be ready to go. I tried to watch it last week, and I was a little sleepy and missed the first few lines of dialogue, and that was enough to make me super confused for the whole dinner scene. Not today though! Today I was READY, and I'm so glad, because I was all in.
Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender are super hot together. The spy twists and turns are just enough to keep you guessing but not enough to confuse you or feel like it's twists for the sake of twists. Also, it's only an hour and a half! No filler, no fluff.
<I>The Long Walk</i> isn't one of Stephen King's best book-to-film adaptations. However, it's an entry worth watching. 50 young men voluntarily participate in a tradition where the last person standing sets to win a large sum of money. Along the way, though, guided by a set of strict rules, that last person standing (walking) - no pausing or going off course - is declared the winner. It's not an original concept, but, given recent times, sounds like something that would eventually come into play one of these days (like The Running Man, another film based on a King book).
David Jonsson, previously seen as "Andy" in <I>Alien: Romulus</i>, carries this film. His character here, much like "Andy", is supportive. He knows this is a do-or-die situation, but makes the best of it by embracing his fellow walkers, engaging them with conversation and positive reinforcement. As for the others, they're background actors whose stories go by like dust in the wind... until the last man standing.
<B>Final thoughts</b>: An effective thriller that gives you a bit of the feels because each character brings their all to the table, but the ending is predictable and underwhelming. Also, this is the only role I feel that mark Hamill was good for.
Save the Last Dance is so iconic. The dance routines. The soundtrack. Mostly those things, but they are SO ICONIC.
I feel like she wasn't a very GOOD cheerleader, based on the cheer at the end.
I love media about a scrappy team of underdogs and a down-on-his-luck coach. Bonus points for a tiny baby Michael B . Jordan being on the team. I would classify it more a drama, which is unusual for the scrappy-underdog-kids-playing-sports subgenre, but it has enough laughs to be a good balance. A pretty significant thing happens towards the end that I would personally remove, as I don't think it adds anything to the real plot and feels like cheap writing. Overall I'm still here for it. Look at Keanu on the poster. Adorable.
