Not only my favorite Christmas movie, but in my top ten overall. It's one iconic moment after another. I hope TBS still plays it for 24 hours.

I love that they focused on Mantis and Drax. The supporting Guardians are my favorite. Mantis and Drax are a hoot, and the whole premise of this is wacky, and I love it.
I saved my favorites for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. 🎄
I am so conflicted on Home Alone 2 every time I see it.
On one hand, there's some killer dialogue. "He says if I walked in there and saw him naked, I'd grow up never feeling like a real man." And "Two? Make it three, I'm not driving." Literal lol moments.
Then on the other hand, there's basically everything that happens. Tim Curry's character just immediately is like "follow that kid!" Then sneaks into his hotel room, and when he hears the shower, he goes into the bathroom??? When he thinks it's the kid???
The pigeon lady is homeless because she is heartbroken??? And she stays homeless because she's afraid to love again???
Everything at the recital? Clearly Buzz's fault.
But despite those things, I'm still pretty into it until it's booby trap time. Booby trap time is my favorite part of Home Alone but it's somehow the worst part of the sequel.
I always wanted a Talkboy though. Well, a Talkgirl.

I just watched the original for the first time this month. It was really good, I was pretty optimistic so when I saw this cast for the remake. Maybe I would have liked it more if I hadn't just seen the original, but I really just didn't like anything other than the cast.
When I worked at a movie store, we sold this like crazy every year. I saw it for the first time a few years ago, and I was a little surprised this was a Must Own holiday movie for so many. I think maybe if I had seen it earlier, it would get some of those nostalgia bonus points I love to dish it, but I didn't.
It is an easy watch though, and it has that early 2000s comfort film quality that I appreciate as a millennial. It just doesn't have any lasting funny moments. My favorite part is when the cop spells Enrique "N Reeky", and I will forget about it by tomorrow.
The original animated Grinch is my favorite, but I recognize this is a modern classic. It used to be an annual must watch for me. Somewhere along the way it slipped to an every few year watch.
Barely a Christmas movie, but surprisingly decent for a low rated action-thriller from 2000. I'm really coming around to this era of Affleck.
It held my attention as it was happening, but I don't expect to retain much about it. There were two twists that really did surprise me though, and that is making me lean more positive than neutral.
There are so many laugh out loud moments that I love, and there are so many super weird moments that I don't love. It might also be because I watch the extended cut so some things that should have been cut are added back in. Overall the hits outweigh the misses, and this is a classic of it's generation.
I kind of forgot how most excellent this movie is!
