This is worth a watch because of Maya Hawke. I wanted it to be a little more like Heathers. It's not really like Heathers.

<b>M3GAN</b> is a robotic goddess.
30 years ago, I saw <I>Jason Goes to Hell</I> in the theaters. While not the best in the franchise (it sits at #8 in <A HREF="https://boxd.it/cZOl0">my Ranked list</A>), there is something special about seeing the film not only in the theater (again) but with both the <A HREF="https://popcornfrights.com">Popcorn Frights</A> crew <b>and</b> the unrated cut. Oh, and <b>Adam Marcus </B>, director of the film, sent over a customized welcome video, introducing the film to us. Well done, <A HREF="https://popcornfrights.com">Popcorn Frights</A>!
I can understand why this film gets a lot of slack from haters (Jason's appearance, it's not the final <I>Friday the 13th</I> film, the demon) and love from the fanatics (great kills, nudity). I mean, we do get to see Jason go to hell after all, so I hope both sides are happy with this.
After all of this time, and thanks to Popcorn Frights' Marc Ferman's speech prior to the screening, I may have a new soft spot in my heart for the film. It'll remain at it's current spot (#8), but I can't wait to revisit it again.

There aren't a lot of action rom-com these days. Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum are universally likeable and successful in both action and comedy flicks. I just wasn't really vibing with it beyond it being worth a single watch.
Daniel Radcliffe really seems to be thriving though. He looks so happy and like he's having so much fun in all his post-Potter projects. We love to see it.
I like this and the first Avatar as I'm watching them, but I can't retain them a day later other than that it's very pretty.
An unexpected happy ending.
Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy deserve all the praise they've gotten, but Nicholas Hoult should get the same love.

Jennifer Lawrence is excellent as another world's Katniss. The story is interesting, but the movie dragged and never gripped me as much as it should have. If nothing else, it sold me on reading the book.
I thought it was a documentary until Willem Dafoe showed up.

Checking out the new Blu-ray from Kino Lorber.
The idea is fantastic but it is only a little more than a mediocre film and I feel a stronger, less theatrical lead would have would have pulled if up a bit. Robert Stephens is just too “stage”.
Listening to the commentary and Cushing was mentioned. Maybe he is just the obvious go-to, but I can see where he would have really worked well in this.The Blu-ray itself looks fantastic! It really is a brilliant transfer. Disappointing that they can’t do anything more with the U.S. print insert scenes. I was really hoping that with todays technology they could have smoothed that out, but I guess junk in, junk out.
