I hadn't heard of this and randomly picked it on Paramount+ because of Bryan Cranston. It was a pleasant surprise, moreso the wholesome true story than the film itself, but a feel good story nonetheless. Sort of a cosmic balance to Walter White.
Pretty underwhelming. I didn't like reading the book in middle school. Maybe I carried that with me.

A little weirder than I expected, and I didn't cry as much as I had mentally prepared for.

I liked the book. Daisy Edgar-Jones is fine, but I didn't expect a girl who lived alone in a swamp to be so pale and well-coiffed, and I don't think I ever got over it.
Other than the basic premise, the rest wasn't what I expected at all. I had seen it described as a horror film a few times, and while I can see horror elements, I don't think it truly got there.
This would be a stronger movie if it was just the story of Anya Taylor-Joy's character in the sixties trying to become a single or Thomasin McKenzie's character coping with her mother's suicide by pursuing fashion in London. I liked both halves enough to give this 3.5 stars and say it's worth a watch every few years, but squishing the stories together was a little messy.
Usually I would think exceeding two hours is the wrong move for a comedy. Glass Onion is enough fun that you don't really notice. Dave Bautista proves he can be more than Drax and can hold his own outside of the MCU. Overall I prefer the story of Knives Out, but it's pretty close.
Donald Pleasence is having an absolute ball in this one, as he should! This is a fun one!
A cannibal, descending from trapped tunnel workers from the 1890’s, roams the London Underground for food!
Some odd bits here and there, but worth it for Pleasence.
