Nothing is outright terrible, its serviceable and some elements like the score, some of the performances and cinematography are great yet the film left me feeling nothing on most of the things in it.
Im happy this is getting the acclaim its getting but...im gonna be honest I don't see why.

i actually really like this film as christophe gans directs this film so well, i will say the performances aren't that noteworthy, they are fine but other then that return to silent hill feels like something so weird and nightmarish yet focused at the same time on the need to let go of people we love who passed away.
james ultimately killed her but i see it more as an action out of love but that love also is unable to make him let go and makes him run back to the past.
the cinematography is great, while im not a big debater girl on digital vs film, here, the digital film making seems to be bright yet dark. its scares are well done and the composition and camera angles let the film flourish with its horror.'

there is a sense of trauma underneath everything, the performance are all great, every sound agatha rouselle is great but i rather found the first half extremely aimless as i didn't get any of it.
there is probably something im missing but i just can't wrap my head around this film.i like its depiction of gender and how fluid it can be much more fascinating.

watching jackie chan's drunken master 2 is like watching a master painter paint his magnum opus.
its characters are so easily likeable and its action is like nothing else. its fast, its fluid and the edition of its incredible sound it becomes something far greater then most in the action genre.(watch my feature film https://boxd.it/d1dcYL )
very wild inducing and while i love that about it and its a film i would love to give 5 stars to, its not really strong in its characters or story.
its way of spreading the virus is unique but after that, the score, performances and cinematography do the heavy lifting.
again, i love its energy but i also got to be honest. still think its good but if you are looking for something like story and characters then don't watch this film.

Nothing groundbreaking BUT its really fun and the lead actors give the somewhat basic script some actual character. Also im a sucker for zombie films since this is technically a zombie film.

how do you make nazi zombies boring?
i do have a fascination with films that are obviously low budget but have a big concept and try to do that concept with that low budget but films like these always go for formuliac stories and characters.

fairly interesting, i applaud how it doesn't shy away from both bodies of men and woman.
sex is something we think we understand but maybe we don't, it works in strange ways and makes us act like were somebody else or maybe its our true nature that finally appears through sex.
the film holds that weight, the power and weight of sex and displays such an inflinching portrayal of it,
anatomy of hell might not be for everyone but its definitely a movie you could talk about for a long period of time.(watch my 79 min film https://boxd.it/cQ1mBp )
for a movie titled "the usual suspects"...i don't know any of these people.
singers direction is fine but its nothing more then an empty thriller that disguises itself as something bigger by having a lame twist that you can see from a mile away. to be fair the twist itself is fine, its just that spacey's performance makes it very obvious.
