I could write a joke review but what the actual fuck is that ending?
Probably one of the worst endings to a film i have ever seen and i know i Say that allot this year, this worst and that worst but oh my god i Desperately wanna know what went threw Alex's head.
Why do male characters we see through the film get pregnant, each getting Shitted out by the last male character.Harper is not really a well rounded character and is more so a puppet for Garland's narrative and metaphores which allot of films do that, the Metaphore is linked to the characters experiences but the problem here Is that not any of it is good.
Its kinda hard to rate this film because while it has good cinematography And lead performance by jessie buckley...that ultimately gets Undermined by everything else and its not like those two things are EXTREMELY PHENOMONAL.

Greetings, girl, and welcome to my world of phrase
I'm right up to bat
It's a Daisy Age, and you're about to walk top-stage
So wipe your Lottos on the mat
Hip-hop love this is and don't mind when I quiz your involvements before the sun
But clear your court 'cause this is a one-man sport
And who's better for this than Plug One?
Now you don't have to worry about me squashin' other deals
'Cause they've already been squooshed
Freeze a frame about moods, the same which we can continue right behind the bush
You'll stay with me
Eye know this but not because of all my Earthly treasures
Or regardless to the fact that I'm Posdnuos
But because (eye know I love you better)
May I cut this dance to introduce myself as the chosen one to speak
Let me lay my hand across yours and aim a kiss upon your cheek
The name's Plug Two
And from the soul I bring you the Daisy of your choice
May it be filled with the pleasure principle in circumference to my voice
About those other Jennys I reckoned with
Lost them all like a homework excuse
This time the Magic Number is two
'Cause it takes two, not three, to seduce
My destiny of love is brought to an apex
Sex is a mere molecule
In this world of lust that I have for you
It's true (eye know I love you better)
Now it's time to let this rhyme style get somewhat poured in the mold
Hold my hand, and we'll pick my plantation of daisies for a bouquet of soul
Life will begin at the cut of a rim
Take it as filled to the rim as in brim
Squeeze your stoop like Betty Boop
We'll make Campbell Alphabet Soup and spell Plug One's within
Forward-march is the say when transistors will play
Come into bed is the move
Dolby Sound will be then top crown when I put the needle into your groove
I got a good thing and in full swing
I show this in gifts, words or letters
But even without those three
Eye know you'll be close to me 'cause (eye know I love you better)
It's I again and the soul that I send is taking steps to reach your heart
Any moment you feel alone, I can fill up your empty part
We can ascend 'til we reach De La heaven and in a spin, we'll hit the top ten
Then we can meet Mr. Stuckie and Pos' brother Lucky will preach
Let the wedding begin
Shot by an arrow of cupid through the string of a G-clef
My dear, I claim you're deaf
And if you can hear me, by golly gee
Trugoy is ready for what you possess
We could live in my Plug Two home
And on Mars where we could be all alone
And we make a song for two
Picture-perfect things and I sing of how (eye know I love you better)
the teenage mutant ninja turtles is kinda one of the few franchises that has been there my whole life, from the 2012 show to the two live action films produced by mr. bay.
and even back as like a few days ago i started watching the 80s show and im planning to watch every other tmnt show.this is not the first time i've seen this film, i watched it for the first time 2 years ago in march and with this growing love again for the turtles, i watched this masterpiece again.
the best thing about this film is easily the animatronics and the lighting.
for sure, the animatronic suits are not groundbreaking, they sometimes can look weird but that where the lighting comes in. the lighting is soooo perfect in this film, it either creates this amazing atmosphere in new york by making the night look shiny but filthy at the same time.
it can make the turtles in daylight look normal and the few moments the animatronics do look weird, its mostly quick moments you won't notice unless you actively know.
but the turtles physically look so great because of that combination and they feel like real people instead costumes which the later 90s films fall victim to.
the turtles themselves are their quirky self, they and the film itself are kinda a perfect blend of the 80s show and the original comics because the film is still goofy but that goofiness is grounded by actual good storytelling and scenes of seriousness.an active crime wave is happening in new york which the turtles so happen to stumble in to.
april is almost mugged before they interfere and beat the shit out of some teens which leads to rapheal loosing one of his weapons. he later tries to retrieve it which leads into the introduction of casey jones.
casey is such a cool and great character in this and his chemistry with april is awesome. its later revealed splinters old rival and enemy the shredder is the one behind this wave of crime, manipulating the youth to blindly follow him.later in the film shredders aswell as splinters origin is told and its both a great moment to know the backstory of both while also getting knowledge on what type of person oroku is.
he also captures splinter halfway through the film, it leads the turtles to realize splinter will not always be there forever for them and they have to reconcile with that.
its another great part of the film that gets enough time to feel fully realized.the fight choreography in this film is also so, so good man.
i feel the weight of every punch, every kick and its just so fun to see on screen.film is just so amazing in allot of ways.
COWABUNGA!!!!!!!!!!
there is an interesting story here but ultimately its to undercooked or familiar to be memorable.
im sorry but i don't need the liar reveal trope in the big 25(especially not in a kid fllm)
elio feels just like a reskin of other young boys, just swapped with a different interest.also lowkey never forgiving zoe saldana for last year lmfao.
the animation on a technical level is good but it feels like its trying WAY to hard to appeal to children with its round and colorfull movement.
not saying colorfull equals for children but its the way you go about it.
also the whole shtick of pixar's character models and enviroments clashing with eachother is getting so old.'
you tell something meaningfull with that template but they've used so often that its lost all its usefullness.there were also huge production issues with this film like it being reworked and scrap the queerness out of the whole picture which im not suprised by. i don't feel like someone wanted to tell this story because what was once there, what the people did want to tell was halfly changed probably by the studio which kinda sucks.
benedict wong was the best thing about this film.
I can't really say much that i haven't already said in my other kiyoshi kurosawa reviews.
Its just that good man.
Movies need to stop exaggerating one thing and it's eating.
It pisses me off because it sounds like nails on a chalkboard.
gunn's ugliest looking film to date which is a shame since honestly the camera movements are kinda the best in his filmography.
superman 2025 is not a perfect film and while it looks like #supershit
its got allot of passion for the character.
there is allot you can critique, i agree but for allot of its fault, it leaves me with a smile and hope for the future.
it leaves me with love for the character(s)
there is allot to improve and with lex out of the way, i hope for the first time that other superman rogue's get the spotlight.(Also watch my newest film My review of i love bottle caps on Letterboxd https://boxd.it/aKMnNv )

is there anything my goat can't do?
at the start of the film, we see cage looking for a job and almost out of money.
you know tho that he tries to stay an honest man, when given the opportunity to steal money....he doesn't.
and at the end, he dumps the bag of money he obtained out of the moving train he's in, knowing the money is not worth the trouble.
i love cage's character in this aswell as the characters around him.
dennis hopper is great as the hitman that cage impersonated.
i loved that shit man, I LOVED IT WHEN CAGE DISCOVERED HE IS LYLE.
J. T. walsh is great as this evil husband and lara flynn boyle is his wife.
i like her character because she's not totally innocent, holding a gun toward cage in the end on the train for money.cage is a by stander at the wrong place at the wrong time.

i didn't laugh once.
(watch my newest film https://boxd.it/aKMnNv )
so much of this is just strung together, like paperclips being put together to form a string.
its characters aren't likeable or interesting and whatever jokes they throw at you is just kinda insufferable nonsense.i chuckled like 2 times because honestly some background gags were decent but besides that this is such a painfully unfunny movie.
not really in that the jokes are terrible but more so that they are very, VERY bland and boring to sit threw.(Also watch my newest film My review of i love bottle caps on Letterboxd https://boxd.it/aKMnNv )
