pretty decent, i was really engaged even when the film could have used allot more in the beginning and i mean in like allot more character exploration before we get into the slasher section of the film but overall not bad.

(also watch my latest film, its only like 5 min long so you have no excuse little one https://boxd.it/aKMnNv )

While the first one is pretty good but ultimately it has issues standing out, I think the seqeul mostly succeeds in crafting its own identity.

It doesn't take itself as seriously and at first I was really worried about the runtime but it really is just better.
It still has problems, I think while the story is about Hutch's family it really doesn't focus that much on them rather threw hutch and his wants and desires.
I also really like how really...it avoids allot of issues action films have like the unnecessary conflict between husband and wife where the wife leaves before ultimately getting back together. Its an example but I really like how it just skips that.

Nobody 2 is not a masterpiece and unfortunately I think this will not be as liked as the first film but I think its action is fantastic, story is decent and overall what holds this picture together is its theme of family and the cast.

(Also watch my newest short film which came out today i love bottle caps on Letterboxd https://boxd.it/VKnI )

on rewatch this is allot more focused then weapons.
i think both films are extremely strong but justin long has more screentime in this one and thats why its better.

i thought baby driver had nothing to say but holy fuck.

this is the most surface level depiction of how woman are objectified in allot of proffesional industries, specifically the fashion industry.
i think thats a good idea for a movie but this film has no substance, no bite at all. it just doesn't have anything new to say and feels kinda save.

for how big it focuses on exactly that, every character is shallow and the dialogue feels like it just wants to get to the big setpieces as quick as possible.

This not adult.

I've been saying that about this project ever since it was announced but....what are we doing here?
Retroactively I think this and allot of other animated shows and films for adults are one of the reasons animation is not taken seriously.
When you look at something like ralph bakshi(which not everyone is like him or needs to be like him) yes he does have allot of crude jokes but what makes him standout is his use of commentary.

THATS adult. Not whatever this is.
This is not a mature film, its gross, unfunny and lame.
There is no sense of identity to this film because its just another appeal to the masses type film.
And like, this was suppose to be released for theaters and yes I think 2d animated films should be brought back to the big screen.....but I also see why Sony eventually gave it to Netflix.

The animation is fantastic and fluid.
I liked Idris Elba but that's about it.

Pretty solid action flick and while I like it, its kinda overshadowed by being a lesser john wick.

Like they have very similaire tones and story beats but at least its different enough to the point where i can't help but enjoy it.
Its not a masterpiece but bob odenkirk and Christopher Lloyd are fun in their respective roles and the action is really good aswell.

honestly better then the original as it uses that original film but add a different flavor to it, its more so a murder mystery ABOUT a supernatural being then a full on supernatural being film.

noami watts gives a decent performance and honestly the twist is great.
the cinematography is pretty good aswell as the pretty creepy atmosphere which i thought was one of the elements that worked in the original film.

was enjoying the first act, solid 1, family had a decent dynamic.
it was decent but then it kinda went nowhere.

allot of things happen and it feels like it wants to balance both the family drama and sci fi flick but ultimately what you get is an above average mix of both that sometimes works and sometimes just doesn't.
i don't find the family all that enjoyeable to watch besides their first scene together and honestly the film would have been better if it just stuck with one of its ideas.

I hope Zach cregger keeps my goat justin long employed.

Silly but also creepy.
Josh Brolin, Julia garnen, Benedict wong, Austin abrams and Alden Ehrenreich are all great.
I think most of them are fully realized characters.

I almost jumped out of my seat when I saw Justin long's face. Like I had no idea he would be in this movie.
I think how it balances it's comedy and horror is really good but I can see why it would throw allot of people off.
The ending can be hit or miss for allot of people but I myself found it very amusing.

I do not understand why some people are calling this movie transphobic at all. Is it because of the woman with a red wig?
Like I personally don't get it.
