Lowkey one of the best comedy films of the last 2 decades and one of the best movies of this year.
Comedies overall have had it bad in theaters, from quality and quantity standpoint.
They have been dumped to streaming.
But I think this movie could be a start of a new age for comedies in theaters(I mean the people working on this knew all of this)
The film is hillarious, the naked gun films were always great at using perspective, bending reality and background gags but I think this one does it the best overall.
Liam Neeson and Pamela anderson are great. Yeah...its a great film.

A must see, watch it instead of fantastic four.

A step up from winter soldier yet it still leaves allot to be desired.

Bucky still feels like something that needs to be protected instead of an actual character.
The rest of the characters are fine, both tony and Steve have good arguments against eachother but again like the previous film, there is no stopping. It had to be action scene after action scene.

Imo the discussion about if superheroes should obey the government or not should have been a bit longer. I think if they discussed it better or just handled the situation better then I think allot of the problems would've been resolved faster.
I think both sides are correct in some area's.

Heroes can't just destroy everything they see in the name of good. It leaves allot of destruction and possible deaths aswell.
But obeying the government.....yeah no, there is a big risk factor in that you also can't really trust the American government.

This is all pretty decent, hell good but then the third act drops the ball.
The airport fight scene feels incredibly weightless and ugly.
The reveal of Tony's parents being murdered by bucky was...a twist.
In retrospect it's not but also doesn't entirely work with me since its kinda just an excuse to make them fight again.
Idk but characters like scott lang and peter kinda annoy me?
I can excuse peter a bit more since its in his nature to be talkative during fights but then again I think its more so how tom holland delivers these lines. Scott Lang is just annoying as shit.
The comedy sucks.
The cinematography is mostly an upgrade while still kinda being shit.

one of the worst films i have ever seen.

i saw someone compare this to wave and yeah as someone who likes that film, i would agree. both films have allot of stylistic choices stuffed into them but where i think cherry fails is in its narrative.

its soooo boooooring and it hinges on lazy sounding narration from tom holland. the script is laughable bad with forced "depth"
the russo's have created this sort of frankenstein esk film that still retains there shitty nature as film makers, kinda bad cinematography and composition(even tho it is better then their other films) and just boring editing.
but this film does not need to be 2 hours long. its an oscar bait film that is not even good enough to have the oscars take the bait.

yeah this does not hold up at all, steve is barely a characters, bucky is barely a character.

i do like the plot of the film but what really kills it is it lack of focus on the characters because while it plot does center around them, the film does nothing to make them interesting or develop in any meaningful way.
i like steve in the first film since he's got a clear goal from start to finish. this movie he's still the same person but there isn't really anything explored with him and bucky is worse because for the most he's not a character. it makes sense in the story as he's brainwashed but he's never allowed to do something other then aura farm in the battlefield.
the sidecharacters are fine ig.

but what really kills the film for me is how lifeless it looks and is edited.
this is one of the worst edited films ever, allong with the story both the editing and cinematography aren't allowed to breath.
it always has to cut to a new angle in like 3 seconds. its destracting as shit.
fast editing can be done well but this is not one of those cases.

it has an interesting story(on paper) and robert deniro does a decent job at playing both his characters but the editing, cinematography and music are all so boringly done. the writing is somewhat interesting but all of those 3 things really bring done the pacing and film ingeneral.
