Novacaine is a fun action film with allot of pretty good kills but sadly the second act is where it peaks.
The first act is decent but i wouldn't call the chemistry of our main couple that good and the third act is just filled with cheezy generic lines.
The second act is very fun because the action in that act is good, that act is funny and it has the best ceo of sex lines(the ceo of sex is the funniest character like no joke)
If this film was made by more experienced action directors like david leitch it would probably be better but ultimately thats not the directors fault because i think this is a good step into the right direction.
I haven't seen they're previous film villains tho but i this film makes me think they'll make something special in the future.

im gonna cheat and say i already wanna give this film five stars for its immaculate 60s vibes, sound design and music.
i love it.
also i love how somewhat progressive it was for its time, the characters were likeable and understandable, a black man and a woman being the main stars of a 60s horror film is insane not to mention it kickstarted the zombie genre as we know today wich i love.
i adore films like 28 days later and george a.romero's next zombie film, dawn of the dead.

Ngl i don't know how to write a review for this anymore, its an amazing film but the entirety feels dreadfull there is something wrong with the world the characters inhabit wich is intentionally but that ending........it just ends, nobody cared or notice owen screaming or what they did because to them invisible.
Trans people and there problems are not visible to allot of people because allot of people don't know how it feels to be trans but in turn they sometimes entirely ignore trans people.
I love this movie already more then i did the first time i watched it, its haunting but also kind of a scary hug knowing more people like me are out there.

The cast they assembled for this film especially mad mikkelson as the villain is great(i mean his character is the weakest part about this film but still)
I loved how bond clearly is an egotisticall jerk and yet he kinda deserve that because he's great at his job while also coming to terms that if he stays that way that there are gonna be allot more people who he holds that are gonna be in danger.
I loved mad mikkelson's performance but the writing of his character isn't bad just a little bit undercooked.
I genuinely like a love interest in an action film for once, golly gee.

My first nicolas cage movie in theaters and lets be honest, nic cage at home is already a 10/10 experience but nicolas cage in THEATERS is a infinity out of infinity.
I love this movie especially for the costumes and locations aswell as the amazing lynch directing.
I love that he makes this as a sort of wizard of oz type journey.

Holdup......why was this actually kinda goated?
I loved benicio del toro and don cheadle in this aswell as the rest of the cast.
The one problem with allot of sodenbergh films is that they never flow that well, there are exceptions like no sudden move wich i enjoyed so much wich im happy about as mr. Sodenbergh has not been on the greatest run lately.

i would watch this a second time just to watch nicolas cage and captain man interact on screen.
this film isn't good but for some reason besides the obvious(nicolas cage) it has stephen dorff, heather graham, scarlett rose stallone and tzi ma. that is incredible funny and sad at the same time.
nicolas cage is obviously the best thing about this as he has this weird voice and "character arc" and then does some bad ass shit.
also mr.cage is dripped out to the brim in both the old way and this.
