just reviewing this again so that my rating can be seen lol.
anyway this movie fucking sucks.
its basic as shit.
"my parents are monsters, like actuall monsters" and "from penis to vagina" are in the running for worst 2024 lyrics.

sorry guys put apart from the cinematography, acting and locations it didn't really do much for me.
it feels like it doesn't know what it wants to be.
i don't really feel like any character got any development or was that good.
it just feels kinda aimless the entire time

in my eyes, the couple each represents one thing, the man is bleakness.
for most of the film, he's acting down.
the woman represents hope, hope makes bleakness seem unnoticeable even if its right in front of us just like how the man in the films third act seems to have some moments of happines with the convincing of the woman.
this couple also has great chemistry.
this couple is broke but despite that, they love eachother and continue to try to make a living and enjoy the little things.
its kinda beautifull because its not a typical love story.
i mean yeah it kinda is but how it presents our main characters and their struggles, its a special love story.
it does kinda slow down in its last 40 min, still good part of the film but the pacing was a bit to slow.

Look, i like ridley scotts direction and
Russel crow and joaquin pheonix in their respective roles but i can't really get into the story all that much.
I like maximus, commodus is a great villain but the pacing is not that good and i didn't think the middle chunk of the film was that great.
I think the fights and cinematography are great tho.

Come and see is THE war film.
I think the only movie that comes close to display the unsettling, horrific events and the monsters humans can be is schindlers list but even then, i think come and see is still better simple because its put threw the perspective of a kid thats probably around 15-16 years old.
Im not gonna ramble on about how great is except for one moment.
One moment where we actually see the nazi's for the first time.
The scene where almost everyone in the village gets locked up and burned alive.
I think the best detail about this scene in how it displays the cruel and inhumane nature of nazi's is how when you look at our protagonist and everyone from said village, there is nothing but fear, dread, sadness and despair in the eyes of the people.
But for the nazi's its like a party.
Its like teenages messing around with fire but these aren't teenagers JUST playing with fire.
These are grown adults, brainwashed by the one who they look up to.
These are adults who toy with the lives of every single person they come into contact with.
They harm, they destroy and no remorse.
"You have no right to be"

Love the animation but there is almost nothing going on.
The voice acting is great but the sound mixing is horrid.
I geuss this movie was probably made on a small budget but still, chris the voice mixing blows.
I thought the beginning was nice but thats it.

LADIES AND GENTLEMAN AND NON BINARY PEOPLE, MY 50TH THEATER EXPERIENCE.
i loved that i was even able to see it in theaters.
Its a must watch.
I have not much to say that i didn't already say in my original review.
As someone who has been drawing since they were like 6, this is awesome sauce.

I love this movie for a simple reason.
It critique's bad parenting.
These kids aren't suppose to do these things.
They are suppose to go to school and have friends, not worry about food nor money.
Akira practically doesn't and never will have a childhood EVER.
His mother basically underminds her bad parenting and when akira calls her selfish, its "unwarranted" in her eyes somehow.
In my eyes, parents, loving or hating can sometimes, allot of the times or even always neglect what their kid is saying..because they are in fact just a kid.
Adults think they've all got it figured it out when they in fact don't.
Adults can still learn.
Their definitly more wise then kids and mature(most of the time) but they still fall to this one thing.
In the second hour akira's mother flies off and dissapears from the film.
The films themes are tragic and bleak but its not presented sad even tho it is.

The only thing it does that i can give it is that it sometimes ironically funny.
"I feel like p.diddy with fur"
Alvin singing you wish your girlfriend was a freak like me.
Its all ironically funny but thats like it.
Also what does this tim hill guy have with cgi live action hybrid movies?
His filmography consists of those type of movies besides like...fucking muppets in space lmao.
Theodore fucking sucks lmao, he could die and there would be no difference.
