As much as we place huge amount of importance on science, its ability to create live and there for be used for evil should be held accountable by those who use it that way.
Godzilla vs biollenta is a great commentary on that but also the scientific race we as a planet have been in for the last centuries which creates huge amount of consequences and damage around the world.
Godzilla vs biollenta warns us about the eventual clash between scientifically made nature and actual nature itself.(Watch my feature film <a href="https://boxd.it/cQ1mBp">boxd.it/cQ1mBp</a> )

an over sentimental film with a lead performance that bores me to tears.
is ron howard a real director or was he made in a lab to make films that dumbasses love? literally WTF IS THIS DOGSHIT???
brown tint does not equal good cinematography and the story itself at first present itself as a film about a seemingly autistic man but smart man but then flips the script and he's schizophrenic. on paper that sounds interesting but when you think about how portraying our protagonist from autistic to schizophrenic, its not the most ideal story yet even without it, its twist is boring.
its over sentimentallity hits a new low as sweeping sad and dramatic music is heard under multiple scenes. the score is so drab, same with everything else. ron howard shoots his films as dull as possible and russel crow gives a performances so hamfisted and boring that it becomes like watching a rock trying to move.(watch my feature film https://boxd.it/cQ1mBp )
a more modern version from not only the script and story but also the sets, world and godzilla himself.
the characters are fine and overall it is a decent start to a new era.
godzilla's decent is gas tho, whoever made that should get a purple heart.
while not as engaging, terror of mechagodzilla continue's the themes of nature vs industrialism.
ishiro honda's last work in the godzilla franchise and goes out with a pretty good film and its also the last showa era film which, it doesn't feel like a finally of an era but thats alright
its choreography is interestingly borrowing a lot from old hong kong action films from specifically the 80s and 90s and its editing is stylistically interesting because of that.
pretty much the most fun i'll have with a modern action comedy as director BenDavid Grabinski knows how to shoot a modern action film with the iconography of new and old, foreign and american.
sure it can get a little slow sometime but grabinski throws a lot of stylistic choices in here that are somewhat bold for a streaming action comedy.the performances are fine and sometimes they all can sound pretty bored but i think vince vaughn gives a pretty fun enough performance as does keith david like always. its not interested in making these characters relatable or have a character arc as its much more concern with making its four way dynamic work, its script is not perfect but there are some good laughs here and there.
im looking forward too what BenDavid Grabinski has in store for the future.(watch my feature film https://boxd.it/cQ1mBp )
as im aproaching the end of the showa era, jun fukuda made his most iconic work as mechagodzilla as become a staple character in godzilla lore.
what i do find suprising is that technically this isn't a first for the tohoverse to incorporate a mechakajiu as king kong escapes from 1967 had a mechakong but there it was a weird and over the top cartoon bond villain, here its aliens.
fukuda delivers as mechagodzilla is a genuine threat and im shocked that in this time period of the showa era that they allowed godzilla to bleed.to be fair, the kid characters and overall childish nature of the last 2, while still somewhat present is rather downplayed obviously. its nice to see a genuine threat godzilla can't just knock the shit out of and win.
overall these films have a large melodramatic tone that is very apreciate with its human characters.(watch my feature film https://boxd.it/cQ1mBp )
jun fukuda style of directing simply is more human action and driven by lots and lots of colors.
fukuda's interpretation of godzilla and its world looks a lot more like a playhouse full of color which, i mean at this point the franchise is largely for children so why not make everything look like it came out of a childs playhouse.
megalon and gigan are so cute together and while the human characters aren't great, they at least have a cute bond together.
while jun fukuda's godzilla work is aimed largely at kids, its not afraid to play around with its sets and costumes. ishiro honda's films are colorfull but they didn't have a much of a variety and focus on them as in the films of fukuda and i apreciate that as it something we've seen yet something new.godzilla's suit looks dumb tho.

watching porn is less boring tbh
godzilla vs hedorah breathes new live into godzilla's underlying themes with yoshimitsu banno giving him themes of enviromentalism.
sure, the film isn't subtle in the slightest but hedorah gives its antagonist kajiu something back and thats the feel of impact. destruction in these film felt less and less impactfull the longer the franchise went on which isn't a dealbreaker but it does lessen events in those films so im happy its here.
pretty fun and its enviromentalism themes are important to godzilla ingeneral but banno gives pollution a new life.(watch my feature film <a href="https://boxd.it/cQ1mBp">boxd.it/cQ1mBp</a> )
we've entered the 70s and i do like that the film is just humans against kajiu's instead of kajiu's against other kajiu's but other then that the film is largely forgettable.

kind of the avengers of the tohoverse even when its missing key figures like mothra.
really fun and i like the anti hero role godzilla has been pushed into as king ghidora is an awesome villain. while the new alien race who wants to destroy civilization are fine and not that memorable, the film does enough to be a memorable entry.(watch my feature film https://boxd.it/cQ1mBp )
