I've existed almost 18 years on this dumbass planet which is not long but this year i technical become an adult as i turn 18 in october.
Looking back at my full childhood, there is a lot of loneliness but also fun memories.
I never really was a people person even tho i had some friends in elementary school. Sometimes it feels like i wasted my time and i am partially scared of the end.
But does our time of fun really end when we become an adult or is that just a cynical outlook on it?Anyway, one of my most cherished memories is being obsessive over pokemon around like 10 to 13.
I would watch the same 3 seasons of the anime repeatedly which were the first ever season, black and white and the one with ash greninjia.
Sometimes i would like to go back to those memories but they only exist in my mind and to chase them i would just run backwards seeking nostalgia and being blind to the future but i can end it, end it this year as best as i can.Sometimes i like to dip my toes in nostalgia but most of the time it makes me feel empty. But i also don't want to act like a kid forever or be the same person i was years ago.
By watching this movie it allowed to look back but also write and think about whats gonna happen to me, will i be a beloved auteur director or will i be shot while walking the streets at night?The film itself is charming while cheezy at time.
But i watched more so as a means of reflection on my life up to this point.

a film about lust and the societal and economical collapse that are rooted in war.
we never see any war but thats a good thing as the film uses its tall grass and water. the need for any companionship also grows when isolated, lust overtakes someone more and more. crops die, there is barely any food which needs huge sacrifices to get.
these people are in need for almost everything but its not available, the onibaba is a metaphorical beast thats there, it punishes the people, like the war as the mask was first seen on a samurai.(watch my feature film https://boxd.it/cQ1mBp )
nostalgia can carry a film, no less a dogshit film so far.

genuinely such a nothing film, not much to say and honestly i don't really care. really just one of the victims of the dark knight trilogy where everything has no personality what so ever.

Vengeance most fowl is delightfull, while i would say it sometimes does familiar things which we've already seen multiple times in the franchise, its still just so darn loveable.

exhilirating, suspenseful and uses folklore in such a fun way.
jong jee-hyun fills this with such a creepy tone, so many scenes are suspenseful as its sound design is really good as well as its score.
the performances are all pretty good but I especially love how grand the main spirit felt as Kim byung-ho and rikiya koyama who are the respective physical form and voice are both great.(watch my feature film https://boxd.it/cQ1mBp )
Rough in certain aspects but its what the film tells you is what compelling.
On the surface, these are silly stories but the way it connects all 3 stories is how its able to flourish.
All 3 men that are in some way morally flexible or at least uncontrollable in some ways but then all 3 appear in a room together on television stating how slackers and society has lost their ways and morals.
Society puts a lot of blame on demographics like slackers but everyone is a singular individual and you can say what you want and be an expert of something like societal behavior and have a suit, it doesn't mean you yourself aren't part of those societal behaviors that people apparantly dislike so much.
Juvenile behavior is scolded but sometimes we forget that everyone does something juvenile daily.(Watch my feature film https://boxd.it/cQ1mBp )
Gromit inflation
While its definitely feels like a lesser version of memories of murder, I still think its able to stand on its own by its direction being far more focused on the violence in the act of it then the aftermath and also the way cops and their work begin to melt together within the moral ladder.
Kim yun-seok and ha jung-woon are both excellent in the respective roles they've been given.
For one, its interesting because from the very beginning kim yun-seok's character is not presented as someone respectable in lifestyle, work nor personality yet he's the main character and the one who begins all of this. He is a pimp but he's also the way the film displays the unethical ways cops and detectives can be as he once was a detective.
Do we really want this guy sniffing case after case?He's not morally unredeemable and in ways he does do sprinkles of good but never are the bad he does ever forgotten as it shouldn't be.
He may have gotten the little girl food or some shit but he still lost her, he smashes his way inside her home and doesn't ultimately find her mother.Sometimes the movie can feel overblown and annoying when it comes to its pools of blood but it also signifies how people so frequently lose the lives they have to incompetency that comes with many cops.

Copycat has a fun premise and is a fun film but there is not really much else to it.
Its a great crime thriller in suspense but not character nor its opinion on serial killers. Weaver and hunter are great tho.

Gothic horror at its finest and frenches.
Our male protagonist in a nice reversal is the individual getting objectified by bisexual woman who see him only as a means of acquiring blood or just something to be toyed with.
A reversal that works as he's not sympathetically written and he mostly falls in line with a certain type of men.
