unironically a great sci fi time travel film.
imo a must watch if you love time travel films, it does require to watch at least 3 seasons of the show tho.
but the film really captures the essence of the show by being an hour long.

The production of this film was not smooth with the director and nicolas cage wanting to do a more comedic take but the studio wanting something more standard and we ended up with this.
Imo this film is not a failure but instead i think it somewhat succeeds at what it originally intended to be.

Im sorry but for me, f1 the movie fails to deliver.
It doesn't crash but also doesn't drive and certainly not fast. Brad pitt is pretty good ig, his performance isn't anything special. It's like his role in moneyball which come to think of it.....is way better then this movie.
I know that they tackle different sports but what moneyball does perfect imo is that it hooks me because of the script and dialogue. It's more focused on the bussines side then playing the sport, this movie feels like it tries to do the same thing while still leaning to much on driving scenes.
I find Hayes an interesting but ultimately not a unique character(which i can say the same for almost every other character in this film)
It has hype moments but it lacks the writing.

basically the donner cut turns superman 2 from a good film to a great one.
basically it cuts all the needless scenes out but adds more meaningful scenes wich actually serve the plot and characters.
i still think zod is an oke villain but i think its cool they explained how clark got his powers back.

while superman 2 does allot of things not right like having allot more cheezy comedic bits that sometimes does not fit the tone of the scene and giving us a version of zod that i say lacks the depth of his man of steel counterpart.
it still gives great chemistry between clark and lois, gene hackman as lex luthor and superman's arc to giving up his powers to be with lois to having to sacrifice that in order to protect the world.
its strange that they didn't explain how he got his powers back tho.

(Don't ask me how i came to this conclusion)Watching both trainspotting films made me realized that I'm not a good person. Nobody is.
Even when trying to improve, we fall into shithole after shithole.
Does it sometimes get better? Sure.
But I think allot of us have issues until the end. For example I'm lazy, egotistical, I take money from my mother and I lie.
But we do what we can to live a life we weren't asked to live.
I qeustion existence everyday but that's what art is for. Coming to terms with what we are but I also trying to find an escape.
The film itself is good.
These characters are still interesting. They are characters you can root for but also people you understand have problems that still need to be fixed.
These problems don't go away at the end because that's not how life works, not every problem gets fixed even before death.
This is not the definitive theme of the film but its how I look at it.
Live is not as simple as that.

I think the longer it goes on the better it gets.
I actually kinda loved this....except for the performances of mostly Dakota johnnson and some of chris evans's line deliver is poor but that doesn't take away that the film is a great one about the reality of dating.
Im not the biggest romance fan, I love fiction but I also like some realistic truth behind it all and not all romance films give me that.
I think the make it or break it for allot of people is Dakota johnnson and that is completely understandable.
I do think however that the themes and brutally honest take on the modern dating world is great.
The critique of online dating companies and apps is also great.

on hbo max there is this really weird cut when marshall has one of his speeches. its terrible.
they cut out dialogue out of the scene but they also left a bit in so that you can still notice it.

Trainspotting is a film that fascinates me, for all its weird, filthy and jarring decisions.......somehow it all kinda works out because it helps make the theme of substance abuse seem more impact full.
Ewan McGregor is a great actor but it always suck that most people only and only know him as obi Wan because
He is more then that, giving an excellent performance allongside the rest of the cast.
